Tradition
The tradition
The Latin verb "tradere" means to give, to communicate, to hand over. The Italian word "tradizione" it's a derivative.Â
The best way to understand and appreciate Cagliari's true nature is to rely on the past memories, the records, the customs passed down from generation to generation.
The year is marked by its festivals and its fairs, giving to its streets and squares a varied array of colors and atmospheres.
Feel the Carnival madness or the intimate traditional ambience of Easter time amid the Cagliaritani people. On the 1 st of May, since 350 years they renew the gratitude towards the Patron Saint of the City, Saint Efisio, who saved Cagliari from the plague. Follow the Patron procession and its delicate and amazing balance between Religious devotion, folklore and tradition.
But indeed tradition and folklore are Cagliari's soul, the city own unique spirit.
